The holidays are a joyous time filled with family, giving, and love. However, not everyone experiences the bright, exciting events that come with the festivities of the season. That’s why the SFM Network finds it so important to give back and promote a giving nature among our staff.
Today’s blog post shares a story about going the extra mile for someone in need during the holidays. Our team at Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheatre in Albertville, AL extended their giving spirit to someone who needed an extra spark of joy over the holidays and demonstrated what the season is truly about.
From Sand Mountain Park and Amphitheatre:
Lisa Hansford, Sand Mountain Park’s Sports Programming Coordinator, initiated an idea to donate money and purchase needed items as Christmas presents for a nursing home resident who doesn’t have any family.
She and Freda Atkins, Director of Business Development, delivered the items to the resident who was thrilled and so appreciative!
In a quote, General Manager, Patrick O’Brien commented, “I am very grateful for her initiative to do this, and we’re going to make it an annual SMPA tradition. Making a positive impact is a daily focus for our team, and this gesture directly aligns with that initiative. This is an awesome act of kindness by our team!”
